Personal Community Involvement
Impact Arts Owner Steve Van Ness is a founding member of the Clinton Arts Council. Steve wanted to give back to the arts and events industry he has worked in for almost 30 years. By giving of his time and talent as President Steve is working with a team of volunteers to create a substantial cultural and economic impact in the town
Act Now - The Action Ideas Festival
The Creation of Events to Impact Substantial Change in the World
The Act Now mission is to empower citizens to expand their knowledge on current and past events to encourage them to take a stand against issues faced in society.
The goal of this 3-day weekend Festival is to drive active citizenship in more than 45% of Americans under the age of thirty-five and Americans that are already motivated to give back. Steve has created the Act Now concept because he wanted “to create an event that will make a real difference, I need to use my time and talents to give back in meaningful ways.”
Throughout the weekend, guests could follow along via a mobile app, website, and content track led by policy and industry experts. These takeaways helped individuals understand the history, the problem faced, and how it was solved or the problem was reduced.
